Well aren't I clever!!! ha ha ha
I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year, I sure did. Hubby and I stayed home in our new house and had a really nice New Years eve. We made pizza again and this time I put some garlic and Italian seasonings in with the dough mixture. It was very aromatic. My Mum got the Hubby a pizza stone for the grill and it turns the girl into a proper brick oven pizza. It was awesome. This time I put prosciutto in between the sauce and cheese layer and then pepperonis on the top. WOW!!! I also made sausage rolls and spinach dip and French Onion dip for us to snack on, it was party! A party for 2!!!
I am so excited to be off this upcoming week! I am just excited to be here at my new house and I have many plans!!! I am going to get the curtain valances hung in the guest room and finally get off all the old border in the powder room. I have a friend that is going to come and visit and see the house on Wednesday and I can't wait!
In looking back on 2011 there is not much I would change. I am so content with our life and have no room for people who do not want to be in it. I am no longer going to say what everyone wants to hear. I am going to keep my soul happy and put myself first! Ah that sounds like a fantastic resolution!
I have 2 books I want to read and I am going to enjoy myself in reading them. I bought books too, not a kindle download. I do love my Kindle, but some books just should be read. The smell of the pages and the grip of the book. fumbling with the cover and just turning the page to find out what happens. It is so exciting. Another thing I have decided is to get my hands on some Enid Blyton books. I loved her writing and find that it would be such a grand guilty pleasure to get lost with the Five Find outers and dog. Enid Blyton was my favorite author as a child along with Carolyn Keene! I love a good mystery!
So what is everyone excited for this coming year? I want to know!
The Wogadogs are enjoying us both being home, Hubby goes back to work on Tuesday, we are going to take them to the park so we can have a nice walk and hopefully get them some leash exercises! Only Daisy gets really excited and pulls until she chokes herself. I am going to pick up a harness for both her and Buddy, Lili already has one and Pepper thinks she is at a dog show and prances around for the blue ribbon!!!!
I also am going to be better at blogging this year and yes I know I have said this before, but I am getting better and the blogs will probably be food related, but that is what we are doing now that we are settled in the new house. Take this morning for example: I made crepes on a proper crepe skillet, that I was gifted by my in-laws, I need to work on my technique, but they were delicious. I put Nutella and Bananas on them and although they didn't look exactly like the street vendor in Paris, they were just as delicious!!!!! Hubby said I did a good job!!!!
We, Hubby and I, are also going to be getting fit this year. I was told this by the Hubby. We are also excited to start our garden and I cannot wait to harvest tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and all sorts of other yummy veggies and live off our land!!!! Is it wrong to never want to leave your castle? ha ha ha.
Well Happy New Year and until next post.......
