Well, I am getting ready for the New Year by cleaning. I don't know where I got the idea in my head, but I believe that I need to clean my whole house before the New Year arrives to bring me good luck and a clean life in 2012. Silly?
So with that on my mind yesterday I packed up all of Christmas, without the cards on the counter it never happened!!! Last night Hubby helped me and we hung the new curtains in the front room and I started to put things in there place.
Fast forward to this morning. I got up and put away the dogs toys and vacuumed this family room, then I dusted and vacuumed the dining room, then I dusted, vacuumed and arranged the front room. After that I swept the front hall and the kitchen. I took the vacuum up the stairs, much to the horror of the Wogadogs, and vacuumed the entire upstairs. I have put the first load in the washer and now need to get the creases out of the tapestry we got. It finally arrived and was folded up so I bought a steamer thingy to see if that would be better than an iron.
I need to figure out tonight's dinner. I am thinking a chicken dish of some sort, so I am sure a trip to the market is in my future today. I have to say that nothing makes me happier than a clean house. I feel so much brighter and better about my world when it is tidy and clean!!!
Now that we have passed a milestone, life is full of those I learn as I grow up, I am ready for the New Year! I am going to make spinach dip and some beer bread that the Hubby got for Christmas. I think I am also going to put together a veggie tray and of course chips and french onion dip! It will just be the Hubby and I so if your bored come on over!!! ha ha ha!!!!! OOO maybe make some sausage rolls... hmm...
Well I suppose this break is over and its time to continue my domestic domination!!!! Plus the Wogadogs are sleeping, it could be an opportunity to run my out the house errands!!!
