The Week in review...

So after my last post, so much has happened and I have still not started the powder room project!  I don't know if I will get that done in time for a family event so  we'll see!

Hubby on the other hand is laying pavers already!!  He dug up all the concrete in front of the house (our old sidewalk) and leveled the ground then last Wednesday had a layer of base rock dust delivered (7tons!!) and has done some irrigation work and diverted the gutters by way of magic landscaping pipe away from the front of the house!  he then put down the base dust and tamped it into a solid form, then put edging down so the pavers do not slip away.  He then put a tamped 1" layer of sand down and began laying pavers.  He even made a pattern.  in front of the steps he made a herringbone pattern and the walkway on either side is a running bond pattern.  He is almost finished with the driveway side and then will continue around the the back gate on the side of the house.  It looks amazing.  Maybe this weekend I can get started on the Bathroom!!!!

Then last Thursday Mum and I had to take her car to get serviced and after that was done we went for a walk around the mall and only bought a couple of things, thank goodness, I did find the cutest sweater cardigan on clearance and got it for 10 dollars, now that's saving!!! I also found some nice workout T shirts and an awesome O's T shirt!! Ready for summer :)

Going back a little, last Tuesday was so hot, I think it got over 90 degrees, and I worked late.  Hubby was working on his walkway and turned the AC on.  When he was done he came in and the upstairs was 95 degrees, or so the thermostat said, Hubby immediately called the home warranty company (we only have like 14 days left) and a repairman came out on Wednesday.  He charged the outdoor unit with freon and had to order a part for the inside unit, that is in the attic, so thank goodness it happened before the 1 year warranty ran out!!!!

On Thursday, while Mum and I were out, the retaining wall rocks were delivered.  It has been very exciting here!!!  Hubby said once the walkway is done he is starting on the retaining wall.  It is going to be awesome!!!

On Sunday, yesterday, it rained ALL DAY LONG and made for a day indoors for the Hubby.  I was secretly pleased, because I think he needed a day to rest.  He had been coming home from work and working on the walkway until 7 every night and I didn't want him to be too wore out.

I am going to get my haircut this morning and I think I may have to get 2 - 3 inches cut off.  That is a lot for me!  Oh well that's what I get for not going regularly and waiting until things get out of control!!! HA HA HA.  There is just so much other stuff I would rather do than sit in a hair salon.

Welll I think that about wraps up the week so until next post....
