Back to Normal

So sorry for taking a week off.  Every waking and free moment was spent getting ready for Oktobeerfest/Open House Party and it was worth it!  Thank you so much to everyone who came and made our first social gathering at the new house a great success.  After clean up on Sunday I was all set to update the blog Monday evening, I even had it logged in and ready to type and then Buddy tore off his toenail (still unclear how) and then the blood, it was everywhere, Thankfully not on the new couch, but the floors were a mess!

Poor boy had to get bandaged and then the stress and trauma of it all wanted to be a scared puppy dog and so he was being very loving and close to me.  so needless to say the blog was put on hold.

Hubby made an awesome chefs salad last night with the left over veggies from the party's veggie tray and added bacon, ham and cheese.  We also bought a cheese called cowgirl from whole foods and it is like a brie soft cheese and it tasted great!

Work has been very slow and we are having an open house on October 27th in the evening and hope to have a lot of people attend.  After the Hurricane has made some people forced to remodel peoples insurance money is not coming in fast enough and so we have had a very slow fall selling season so far.  Usually September and October is quite busy as people are getting ready for the holidays, but this year has been so bad.

In looking around the house I am deciding what I want my next project to be.  More Painting maybe.  I do need to paint the guest room and hang the curtains in there.  I think Hubby is going to straighten up the garage and get that fully operational for him and then he wants to build some bookcases for our bedroom.  We are taking at least month off and hopefully to the end of the year, but you never know with us!!!!!!!

With it being the middle of October Christmas is fast approaching and I am getting really excited because when we started this moving business the first thing that went into storage was my Christmas stuff so I have not put up a tree in 2 years and I LOVE Christmas.  So this year is sure to be obnoxious because I am putting it all out..... ALL OF IT!
