Picking up from where I left off on Fridays post:
After I posted Friday we, Jim, my Mum and I, went to visit Lili in the hospital and we got to spend about 30 minutes with her and she told us all about what had been going on... I am not cracking up she really did speak to us! The People at MASH are truly wonderful people with such great gifts of compassion and kindness. I know to people who have never owned or felt a connection with a pet probably think I am nuts. Anyway, with Lili on the mend we decided not to visit again as it got her too excited. It is not that I didn't want to visit its just that for the safety of Lili it was best.
I did call everyday and check on her with the night technician and when I called this morning, Monday, I was told that Lili would be discharged today and I could set up a discharge appointment anytime after 2pm. So I set it up for 2pm! My Mum went with me as Lili wants to move around and so while I can do 2 things at once paying attention to an immobile dog and driving a car is safe for no one!!! Lili was thrilled to see us and when the technician went to hand her over to me Lili practically jumped into my arms. I could have cried! We brought her straight home and a good friend of mine gave me a child's playpen so she could be separated from the other Wogadogs as they would be too curious for all our sakes!! I just do not want any set backs for Lili!
Lili has done great so far since we brought her home and she has went to the bathroom, ate her dinner and took all her meds (a feat unto itself) Lili is such a great patient and does not cry or whine about anything! SO tonight is the first night back in the house so we shall see how it goes!
until next post...
