So this weeks forum is more of a what to do. Here goes: In order to continue to learn things, and no not about myself, I mean things. I have decided to re-educate myself in a foreign language and thanks to the ipod, there is an app for that, how convenient!! I as I am sure I have mentioned before I have a facebook page that some of you may be familiar with and on this page I select a phrase and instead of expressing myself in English I write it in French. I have decided that I will learn foreign languages as I was inspired when we went to Portugal this past vacation and the waiters all spoke 3 and 4 languages quite fluently and I only spoke English and could understand basic French and German but could probably not respond to a question in it. So going back to my roots, in England I learned German, and once moving here I learned French. Today was day one a couple of friends responded to me so I now believe I am doing us all a favor by expanding our horizons!
Now since we are moving it is unreasonable to keep on buying things, but what do you do when a deal just falls in your lap? If you are me, you take advantage of said opportunity and buy it. Even Hubby thought it was an opportunity so I consider that a blessing, besides he is the one who wants to move and after I get the books packed up he orders more of them from amazon. I would also like to state how much I simply enjoy shopping online and having stuff delivered to my door. I know it seems very lazy, but if you think about it you can get more done around the house as once you have made your decisions you do not have to drive anywhere to get it and then drive back. So really I am more productive!
I was speaking with a guy at work today and we were swapping recipes, now that is very homey, he is a nice guy and very quiet and gave me a really good recipe for chicken that I hope to try, except he said he uses red onions I do not like red onions they are right up there with peas for me. I do not want to say the word hate when it comes to peas, but they are my least favorite vegetable. I think that it has a lot do with growing up in England and Peas come on nearly every plate its like sweet corn here in the USA its the go to vegetable! Red Onions though I just do not like them I like pearl onions and scallions and yellow onions and white onions and cocktail onions, but I am not so much on red onions nor do I really care for vidalia onions. I guess it is not bad to have a favorite onion besides if I am doing the cooking I am shopping for the goods!!
Well I feel I have shared so much today. It felt good to just let things out I am trying really hard to do better at expressing not repressing! so until next post...
