Wow.... It snowed.... A lot!

So last Thursday was the first day that I even heard a thing about snow, and I was skeptical, how many times do the weather people say " It's going to be a big one" lots and lots. So me being oblivious and just not believing said to myself "sure, right" well was I in for a big shock, a huge shock of epic proportions! I knew there was trouble when I let the dogs out Friday morning, the air was very crisp almost brittle. It was if my own breath froze in mid air. Sure I admitted to myself that we would get something, but surely it cannot be as bad as they say. Those Weather People, they like to exaggerate! Well I went to work and work was very strange, such a strange energy was building, plus it was only 1pm and we had completely sold out of ice melt and shovels, which leads to another question.... What happens to all theses snow shovels? where do they go? but I digress, I went to dinner in the early evening and noticed that even though the sky was dark it was also very bright. After my shift was over I headed home and there were a few stray flakes very fine falling from the sky...

....Saturday Morning we awoke to madness it had snowed so much that the area was close to breaking a record for snow fall since the early 1900's so I was wrong and it snowed. Hubby would not let me go to work I believe he said I was crazy. So I called work and let them know I would not be in and as it turned out they closed early anyway! Hubby and I just watched TV it was very deep, but a good snow storm as the Power did not go out. Since there was a lull in the action I went out and measured the depth and we were at 10 inches. then it started to snow again. The dogs were in and out but mostly in and looking longingly out the door. The day turned into night and i got a massive headache from being in doors all day.

Sunday we awoke to blue skies and an additional 6 inches of snow. The sun was out and so were we. Hubby went out first to clear the driveway and brush off the cars. I soon joined him and helped a little. He was able to free both our cars from there snow prison and I went into the yard to play with the dogs. Oh what fun we had. I have it all on tape! Those poor little short legs. It was as if they were swimming through the snow and we had the best time. After we were done outside we came in to warm up and the dogs promptly fell asleep for the rest of the day.

Click on the above link to see some of the fun! They all follow each other Lili is first followed by Daisy, Pepper and then Buddy brings up the rear! I saw that it is also snowing in London really hard so everyone please be super safe.

The snow has been a nice distraction from the anticipation of Christmas, I love seeing all the lights and decorations, though some people have no taste and jam far to much stuff in their yards, I cannot believe that Christmas is so close. My Mum has really went all out for Christmas and her house is so Christmassy and fun I just feel so relaxed being over there, plus she is also not moving and everything at her house is put away properly the way it all should be. We are going to my Mums for Christmas Eve and I am looking forward to it and for the first time in 10 years I am off on Christmas Eve, what luck! Well I hope everyone has got all their shopping done. I am probably not going to post before Christmas so until next time....

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
