Missing You

Today I awoke very refreshed, unusual? yes (with four dogs it is sometimes hard to sleep through the night you know!) I was not awakened at all! My head was not cloudy at all and I came down into the kitchen and caught a glimpse of your face smiling back at me, frozen in time, captured forever and It just made me think and in thinking it brought back a rush of emotion and such memories that made me smile and then cry. When I was standing there just staring at you crying I heard you, you said "go on make them bigger squeeze your eyes tight, I can't see the tears" and I laughed, you always did that when I cried to make my tears go away. Then I got to thinking and couldn't help but smile we had a lot of good times and for what I remember no bad ones I want to Thank you for helping me through everyday. You will never be forgotten and although no one was a professional all the pictures we have a great ones, all the memories are good ones and all the silly things you would say or rhyme or just come up with are always there underneath and when the rest of the family is together I just know we all think them. You were truly my hero and I couldn't have picked a better one and I miss you, Dad.
