Daisy's Vet Visit... Always an Experience

So Daisy had her big vet visit the other day. It all started the day before the appointment, the vets office called, as they do, and requested that we bring poop and urine along with us. Poop no problem, urine... problem. (Have you ever tried to get pee from a 4 inch tall dog?) So with poop in bag its time to get along l'il doggie!!!! Challenge #1 to get a leash out without arousing suspicion from all dogs (Buddy goes bananas when he here's the clink clink of the leash and camps at the gate and will not move) So with challenge #1 done Challenge #2 Get Daisy out of the yard without the other dogs knowing (there again if they smell whats up then its a massive field trip, and I only have one leash!!!!) Buddy and Pepper are out back, because Hubby is cutting the grass (Pepper thinks she can take down the lawn mower), but Lili is out front with Daisy and Lili has figured it out. As soon as I made a move for the gate and called Daisy over Lili is out the gate and down the drive on her way to adventure and wonder. Her plan for the great escape was thwarted and she was return to the yard without me having to run down the street.

Daisy is so excited she is going somewhere by herself and she is looking out the window, when she can, and then we pull up to the vet and I get her out the car, great, we are walking right along and then it happens the dreaded door to the vet, it opens and all of a sudden I am yanking on what was once a dachshund and it has transformed itself into a concrete block!!! I refuse to pick her up ( I think its the automatic door at the vet that freaks her out, because as soon as she is inside she is fine.... until she reaches the table!!!!) So we get inside and we have to wait a couple of minutes to be seen and try to take on a big black lab. Thankfully the labs owner laughed it off. We have our appointment and get the shots and head on back home where we are greeted by Lili and Pepper with great enthusiasm, Buddy was mad because he missed out on a trip so he was a bit standoffish!!!!

All in all Daisy did well at the vet and is healthy and happy!!!!
