Happenings....

It has been little over a month since my last post and although I have thought about a post here and there I really didn't have anything to say, writers block if you will!! 

I have done a lot of reading in the last month and have also remodeled the powder room.  It looks amazing, if I do say so myself!!!  We had a pedestal sink in there that first was far too big for the room, I nicknamed it the birdbath, it also had no storage and was painted builder ivory.  So it is now a crisp shade of icey blue and has a beautiful curved vanity cabinet and matching mirror.  I am thrilled with the outcome.  There is also an over the toilet cabinet to match that Hubby says we don't need, but he really is not in charge of decorating.  I fully expect him to be over ruled!!! HA HA HA

I have a couple of boxes to sort full of recipes that I need to organize and I have ordered a grocery bag holder from Amazon as we reuse the shopping bags from the grocery store, but the storing of them while they wait to be used is just not what I want, so I have remedied that situation. 

It was Hubby's birthday last week and he requested a cake!!! I KNOW!  The Hubby, Mr. I don't eat that sort of stuff anymore, requested a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, so I made it, from scratch!  It was delicious.. mmm.. mmm..

I got the Hubby a Tagine for his birthday.  It is a Moroccan cooking vessel and I am excited because it is yet another culinary adventure we are about to embark on.  In reading over the recipe book it sounds delicious!

The house has stayed relatively tidy and I only need to vacuum and do some laundry today, oh and think up something yummy for dinner!!  I am loving this place more and more everyday!!  I think I have found the recliner that I want for the family room.... and it is on sale!!!! 

 Hubby finished his wall and pathway.  It looks great!!!  He also planted tomatoes, 3 different kinds, Green Peppers, Red Peppers, lavender and watermelon.  Our fig tree is abundant with fruit and I am searching for recipes as we speak.  Hubby and I both fell for figs when we were in Portugal and it has been a dream to care for a tree and it is working!!!!

I had to renew my drivers license yesterday and the picture came out alright!  That is a plus since it has to last me 5 years!!!!  My Mum went with me and we went out for brunch after!

Well it's not much, but that's the happenings folks!!!!!
