Well I am moving along with unpacking and I have even painted already and almost got my front room all set up. We seem to have mis-placed shelf pins and shelf mounting screws so I tried to purchase replacements and I got the wrong size. Hopefully I can purchase the right sizes today! I am going to try and paint the dining room on Monday so I can get that room together and move forward with being put back together.
The weather here has been very stormy like what we get in the height of summer so we went out on the front porch to watch it and it was very peaceful and relaxing to listen to the thunder and rain. Hubby and I also found the lot markers using the plat map and my Uncles metal detector so Hubby can now figure out where he wants to put his shed building. finding these markers on our own also saved about $1000.00 dollars as that is what a surveyor would charge to come and mark the yard. So YAY!!!!
The additional cabinets I ordered for the kitchen will be here next week and Hubby is going to install them and put on new counter tops and we are getting a new sink and faucet. I am excited, that will mean that the final kitchen boxes can be unpacked and there will be room to make spaghetti (I can't wait!)
Upstairs is a whole different story. The office is a mess there is stuff everywhere. We must get it together. My guest room is almost completed, just missing a couple of shelf pins for the bookcases! and then I can hang my pictures. I have also already selected paint for this room, but I am not to move upstairs yet with the painting. I have also selected paint for the guest bathroom and will probably do that after the dining room is done. Our room needs bookcases for built-ins around the window and our closet is together. Both the bedroom and bathroom need painting, but it is not near the top of the list.
The garage is sorted in the mind, but just needs sorted in the physical!! I got some totes to sort through all my Christmas stuff and then I will pack it up and it goes in the closet within a closet in the office! YAY I have a place for Christmas!!! I have taken a couple of days off at the beginning of June and hope to get a lot done then. I am so ready to be organized.
Looking ahead. Hubby and I also have made our travel plans and got our tickets for our vacation later this year and I am so excited!!!! I can hardly wait. 2011 has certainly been so much better than 2009 and 2010 combined!!!
