Well it's Saturday morning already and this vacation is almost over. We awaken from our slumber and take on the final leg of our journey. Through Pennsylvania to our final destination. driving through the mountains of Pennsylvania was beautiful and of course more roadwork so we hit a little traffic, but not much. Then the tire light came on again on the dash so we stopped for gas and checked out the tires, yeah nothing. (personally I think Hubby is responsible as he really manages to hit every bump in the road!) once we got past Harrisburg and York we were back to the Free State and soon to be home....
.... or so we thought. Turns out the line of traffic I think is bad that we sit in to get to the MD Renaissance Festival has nothing on what happens north of the Festival. Traffic was backed up to Benfield Rd on Rt97 to get to the Festival that is about 12 miles away from the festival itself. we were not going to the festival but were merely a pawn in the traffic game. We were headed to annapolis and the Double T Diner (on the corner of Rt2 and MD 450 for lunch!) Once we got to the diner and were seated we looked up and Lavar Arrington was walking toward us, he was leaving and he had an entourage with him. (FYI - Lavar Arrington was a Washington Redskin Football player) Famous!!!!!! I got a treat for my Mum from the Diner, they have a wonderful bakery, I knew my Mum would be thrilled!!!!
Once we got home and got the car unloaded I ran to the market for supplies and then we headed to my Mums to collect the Wogadogs and deliver the treat!!! As we passed the side of Mums house I could see Lili and Buddy out in the backyard through the fence and Lili's ears perked up as if to say "I know the sound of that car!" As soon as we walked up the steps to the front door we could here them, excited barks and yelps! I opened the door and I was bombarded with paws on my legs!!!!! I gave my Mum her treat and she was delighted, it was a napoleon pastry full of cream and yummy goodness! We also checked out the yard because Lili tried to make a break for it on more than one occasion my Mum said and the evidence was clear she had good digging fun!!
We spent a few minutes chatting and then headed home with our troop. It was a long day and my own bed awaits.....
.... til next post.....
