After our nap we headed out to buy a change of clothes, but we could not find anywhere and we didn't know exactly where we were going to and if we took too many turns would we get back? Finally after about an hour we found a place and parked the car and went inside it was a grocery store, back in the car we go! Soon we located a small shopping center and inside found a store that we were able to buy 1 change of clothes and found a small market that sold shampoos and deodorants and toothpaste. After our small success we went back to the hotel and took a shower and changed into our new attire and went to dinner, dinner by the way was super yummy.
Saturday after the disappointment of having to wear travel clothes again I called the airline and they still had no news. The next call I made was to my Aunt, who lives in Albufiera, and she gave us directions to Algarve Shopping and we arranged to meet her and my Uncle there in an hour. The funny thing was the previous evening if we had turned left instead of right we would have found the place. Anyway we were able to get a couple of outfits to get us through and my Aunt and Uncle followed us back to tour hotel and Hubby and I changed and the 4 of us went to lunch. Lunch sandwiches are called baguettes and your choices are: Ham, Cheese, Mixed and Tuna. I had the Tuna and Hubby had a burger. We decided to meet for dinner later and my Aunt and Uncle went on their way and Hubby and I went back to the room I made another call to the airline, no news, so we grabbed our cameras and headed out for the afternoon!
We went to FIESA a wonderful exhibit that is made completely out of sand. It was truly magnificent and we spent the afternoon there and on our way back to the hotel we got stuck in a traffic accident and pulled into a tile shop on the side of the road and marvelled at all the beautiful pottery and tiles. We got back to our hotel and I called the airline once again to find out if they knew anything... GOODNEWS... Our bags had arrived and were being put on an evening flight to Faro we would have our bags tomorrow! YAY!!!!! With happy news we went to my Aunts house to meet for dinner. My Aunt and Uncles house is very nice and they even have a pool, almond trees, pomegranate fruit trees and their neighbor had and orange grove and lemon trees I was fascinated by all the readily available fruit. My Aunt and Uncle took us to their favorite restaurant and we had a wonderful meal. For every meal in Portugal the waiter will bring a couvert which consists of fresh bread and olives, if you don't want the couvert you must refuse it before it hits your table we ordered and I had a prawn cocktail for starters, how English!!! for my main course I had steak portuguese and Hubby and my Aunt split garlic prawns and he also had the steak portuguese. We could not even think about desert. After dinner we walked down to the ocean and saw a fishing boat come in and unload its catch. We went back to my Aunts house and said our goodbyes and arranged to meet for dinner on Tuesday night. We headed back to the Hotel and went straight to bed, we had a big day planned for Sunday....
