Well, first The Lili update! Lili is fine and has completed her round of steroids and her face has returned to normal. She did overly lick her nose and has a small raw spot that is healing nicely... Silly Lili! Then you wouldn't believe it if you didn't live here, but Buddy was so sick on Wednesday that I had to take him to my Mum's to watch over him and he is all better now. To top off the week of sick dogs on Thursday Morning Daisy went running out the door to the yard straight into the wall... So strange!
That sure does bring us to Thursday... What a sad day what with Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett dying, one that we expected I suppose and the other completely out of the blue... When I was a kid, and thanks to the tributes I remember all over again, I loved Michael Jackson I remember where I was when I heard and saw the Thriller 20 minute video for the first time. I had went with a neighbor and the neighbors kids to her parents house when I still lived in Corby and we watched it in the Grandparents living room, much to the annoyance of the Grandpa! Living in England I didn't know much about Farrah until we moved here, we did get Charlies Angels over there, but I Always preferred Hart to Hart and with 4 TV Channels you had to make a choice on what to watch. WOW! I am getting old. I can't wait to be older and say to all the young kids "When I was your age we had music on vinyl no VCRS, no DVDs, No DVRs, no MP3's and 4 channels on TV" Can you imagine having to explain how you ever got by!!!!! I think that's funny! Oh I am getting excited about having to explain all that!
Thursday, although marred by all the sadness, was George's Birthday and I did manage to enjoy some of his songs between the house , the car and having to go to work! Friday it was my Birthday and I had to go to work and was in kind of a funky mood and really quite irritated with the whole day, probably not enough sleep the night before!, anyway I finally got home, on the way I stopped for a Rita's Italian ice.. yummy, and then I opened my cards and gifts! I am sooooooooooooo excited to report that I loved each and every card from my family and friends and that they all mean so much to me, so Thank you!
So much happened this week I didn't even get to tell you how the new TV broke apparently a fan went bad and had to be replaced which is was, on my Birthday, and the Repairman told Hubby that it was a freak thing and he had only ever had replace that one part one other time and that usually there is no problem with Samsung TV's (phew thank goodness for that!)
Hubby smoked Ribs on the new Weber Smoker and they were delicious and finger lickin' good and we also had corn on the cob, Hubby did that on the grill too, and I had made potato salad. What a great birthday dinner!
Well hopefully the next week will be uneventful, but I did get the coolest cake pan ever! So I am going to go and bake a cake... Til next post...
