Yesterday I was contemplating going shopping when a friend called and asked me if I wanted to go to see the trees.... The National Christmas Tree, of course I said yes, who wants to go shopping when you can do that! So off we went and were traveling quite well until we hit the capital beltway, upon future trips I will consult a traffic site to see which way we need to avoid, so we sat for about an hour, meanwhile my other friend had to use the ladies room. So she had to hold it for the whole hour!!! So we finally get back on the road only to be confronted by another traffic jam, but this time we were in the city so we had options. We finally arrive at Georgetown Mall only to find that the people we were supposed to meet were ready to leave, so we looked around for few minutes, I was introduced to a new store, a wonderful store, in which I bought a couple of new shirts and we were on our way, We headed out to meet the others in Adams Morgan and once again, once we got there they were ready to leave. It was then dark and we went to see the trees, the state trees were really nice and the National Tree was beautiful, but huge!!! Funnily enough we found parking right away downtown, had our luck changed.... NO! So we were cold and it was time to go and of course the street we parked on had a closure and we got stuck in traffic again!!! finally we are driving up Pennsylvania Avenue and once we hit Maryland the road was closed due to an accident and we had to go across to Marlboro Pike and then up and get back onto route 4 at Forestville Mall. We then got home and I watched TV for about an hour then I went to bed! Seriously though how much traffic can 3 people get stuck in in 1 day??
Today I am going to marketing for supplies and then I am watching TV and movies all day, oh and laundry, something that never stops!!!!
