So last night we had a sad situation arise, an abrupt farewell if you will, to an old friend near and dear to our hearts. It was all of a sudden but we will recover and move on. What could have possibly happened you may be asking your screen right now... Our beloved Mitsubishi 62" wide screen HDTV died, there was no fond farewell we were enjoying bad police chases when the TV just turned off. At first we thought maybe a dog sat on the remote (it happens right?) but sadly it was not so. After a lot of research in to the early hours of this morning I was able to determine we had received the "Blinking Red Light Of Death" referred to as the BRLOD. In a bold attempt to watch TV we reacquainted ourselves with the much older, but surprisingly still working, 32" Tube television and within 5 minutes determined that we could not watch TV this way its, well its just not right. So our NEW TV will arrive on Thursday and the 4 year old TV will be taken to the TV Graveyard. (Or where ever Best Buy wants to put it!) And though its a good friend the 32" TV will make its way back upstairs to where it belongs, with the old video game systems.
So long Mitsubishi it was fun while it lasted, If only you could have made it through Monday Night Football. What a cruel, cruel thing to do to Ravens fans who have Directv in a Washington Market.
Please excuse me I must get ready for the debate, I have to pull my chair closer to the screen to try and manipulate the effect of a big screen.
Yes, yes I know 32" is not a small TV not by today's screens, but when you have watched a big screen every single day for 4 years it is small and just doesn't look right on the TV stand.
Stay tuned everyone for the next installment.....
