1 Driver, 2 Fans and Rod

JOSH KELLY
ROD STEWART
Yes, Yes, it was my bright idea, but nonetheless Having seen my George this summer I felt it only right that I offer to take my Mum to see Rod Stewart, for fun I asked my Aunt if she wanted to go, what scottish blood girl wouldn't want to see Rod? Answer: Sister and Cousin. They have no idea what they missed out on. Allow me to share with you all!!!

1. Far too many ladies of advanced maturity scantily clad - The fashion of the evening appeared to be boob tube or wacky print top and capri's.
2. An aging "Rock" Star in leather pants....Mmmmm...wish you were there?
3. Correct use of the term "bling-bling" by my Aunt - Never had a clue that the ghetto lingo was making the round of retirees... To much cable TV!

The evening started out a bit rocky - Lusby to Nissan Pavillion in under 3 hours? NO WAY! As it turns out YES WAY, so we were very early, one would say far to early. I have been before and always gotten stuck in traffic, but that treat was still to come. Anyway the gates are opened and we are on the inside. lets go around to the food court and get something to eat..Okay.. I had a hotdog, fries and a Pepsi, the ladies had a cheeseburger each, shared some fries and a Heineken each... To quench the thirst. We invaded a table and ate our wares, after the order window incident, seems we picked the wrong line and ended up being waited on by can't count and can't pull a pint. Nonetheless the meal was fine. Next we checked out the T-shirt stand, I did get a program, Mum got program and a tour T-shirt and Aunt decided against a purchase. We watched the opening act, Josh Kelly, who I had never actually heard before and think I may download a couple of tracks. Then a pipe band marched in playing Scotland the Brave, of course the ladies knew all the words. We took our cameras and I got a couple of good shots. Rod came on it was a pretty good show. I was ridiculed by the ladies as I compared him to Barry Manilow's show and thought Barry's was better. After the show was when I lined up for the merch whilst the ladies checked out a new Maxima on display and determined that it only cost Forty Thousand Dollars because of the "bling-bling"!!!!! Time to go.. We get out of the parking lot in under 10 minutes NO LIE, we are moving right along until I66 has been taken down to 1 lane. I had the opportunity to bail onto 7100, but didn't take because we were going 80. Always trust my instinct!! I could have kicked myself. Anyway we dropped off Aunt and headed home, not before stopping at the Wa-Wa and eating a very nice donut!!!

I did have fun with the ladies and hope to find something to do with them again next year, cause well the holidays are coming and we must concentrate on that!
