Well we went off on our adventure on Wednesday to Luray, my Mum, my Aunt, my Cousin and myself, My cousin took a vacation day so there was no fake sick day on the table. The weather was beautiful and the drive was very scenic and the caverns were stunning!!! I got some great pics and will get a couple of them on here, when I can figure out what I have done to this computer, I can't seem to upload to my pictures so I will have to confer with my computer guru next weekend!!!!!
So in other news Fred Turtle penetrated the fence perimeter again on Saturday morning and I had to go to work, so I called in to Hubby that the turtle was in the yard and he would have to deal with it and on my way to work I went. Well Hubby called me a little later and said that Fred Turtle is really Freda Turtle and she made a nest and laid 3-4 eggs in it, so he checked online and made a a wire cage around it so that our dogs and the birds cannot destroy them. It seems that the turtle lays her eggs and then goes and does not return to nuture. Hubby also found some pictures of Box Turtles in lets say some compromising positions which I found quite disturbing, especially since I had Daisy in my lap she is too young to see that kind of photography!!!!! But to return to the Turtle eggs we should find out in 60 - 90 days if we have a successful gestation and some babies.... How very exciting, living in the woods shows us the wonder of nature - simply breathtaking!
UPDATE: My pen has not been returned so thats a write off.
